  18. <p>     KRISTEN McMENAMY isn't a gorgeous 15-year-old who happened
  19. to catch the eye of a fashion photographer while harvesting
  20. beets in Romania. Nevertheless, at an aged 28, this
  21. Pennsylvanian, androgynous and eyebrow free, has become
  22. modeling's grande darling. After a 10-year struggle to cash in
  23. on her alarmingly unconventional look (a cross between an
  24. elegant drag queen and a character from Sid and Nancy), Kristen
  25. is now inescapable, from the pages of Vogue to ads for Versace.
  26. Harper's Bazaar recently called her today's hottest model.
  27. Reaction? "I love it!" Kristen bubbles. "I've changed history."
